At the University of Asia Pacific (UAP), the central idea behind designing the library was to creatively address the challenge of bulky 27” columns by integrating them into custom bookshelves. This approach not only concealed the structural elements but also naturally guided visitors toward the reading area, which is thoughtfully illuminated by daylight, fostering an atmosphere of calm and focus. Surrounded by shelves on all sides, the library functions as a secluded sanctuary for students to immerse themselves in their studies.

Despite the limited space, both the storage capacity and seating arrangements were successfully doubled, making the library a much-loved spot on campus.
